INC 4136 Water Clarifier Intermediate is a highly effective dithiocarbamate based water clarifier intermediate. INC 4136 is used in formulating finished products to treat oil-in water emulsions in both offshore and land based treating systems. INC 4136 is amphoteric in nature and can be formulated with either cationic or anionic polymers for use in treating emulsions. Formulations based on INC 4136 are best utilized by injecting into the total fluid stream, whereby oil carryover is minimized because cleaner water is being sent to the water processing system, as well as negating any problems with solids which may be more evident by injecting into the pure water stream. In some cases, formulations based on INC 4136 have eliminated the need for secondary water clarifiers.
