MACKINE® 301U MB is an amido amine that provides excellent conditioning and combability properties in hair conditioning applications. It can be neutralized with acids like citric or lactic acid to form a cationic amine salt. Made from high-purity, vegetable-derived stearic acid with at least 90% C-18 content, MACKINE® 301U MB offers a sustainable alternative to quaternary ammonium compounds, with lower environmental impact. It requires less water for dilution to concentrations that pose no threat to aquatic species and rinses easily from hair, reducing buildup and enhancing volume. When blended with suitable co-emulsifiers, such as cetyl alcohol or PEG 400 distearate, both pearly and opaque conditioners can be formulated.
