DeMULS™ DLN-2314 is a DEA-free, nonionic/cationic biodegradable emulsifier for d-limonene and soy methyl esters. It enables the easy preparation of microemulsion concentrates that remain clear upon dilution. The product is hard water stable, moderately foaming, and approved for use as an inert in non-food pesticide formulations. It is soluble in water, alcohols, glycols, chlorinated, terpene, and aliphatic solvents, but insoluble or dispersible in aromatic solvents and oils. Amine oxides can be formulated with anionic, nonionic, and cationic products, exhibiting mild cationic properties under acidic conditions. Lower alkyl chain products provide good foam boosting and stabilization, while higher molecular weight amine oxides offer softness and conditioning. MACKAMINE® C 14 E, being higher in molecular weight than lauramine oxide, enhances viscosity building properties, making it particularly effective in thickened hypochlorite systems.
