- Use Level
- 10 gallons per 100 bbls.
- Usage Information
- INC 1421 corrosion inhibitor intermediate must be diluted with aromatic solvent or water and alcohol prior to use.
- When used as a corrosion inhibitor in packer fluids, the normal recommended concentration of formulations based on INC 1421 is 10 gallons per 100 bbls. (2,500 ppm.) of annular fluid.
- Splashing or violent mixing should be avoided when dissolving INC 1421 in water as excessive foaming will occur.
- Initial dilution in 10% isopropyl alcohol or methyl alcohol will enhance mixing, decrease the tendency to foam, and lower the pour point of the final blend.
- For total control of foaming, the addition of 1 to 2 quarts of INC 1530 Defoamer per drum of finished product will effectively inhibit any foaming tendencies.
- INC 1421 corrosion inhibitor intermediate can be used alone or in combination with other chemicals.
- At low concentrations, INC 1421 will provide a degree of water dispersibility to oil soluble inhibitor formulations.
