- Usage Information
- A typical formulation for a finished products based on INC 1477 would consist of blending 13.75 gallons of product, topping off a drum with water.
- On occasion, depending on the Calcium content of your water, it may be necessary to add some Versene to the water prior to blending, to minimize the Calcium floc.
- INC 1477 is an organically modified imidazoline with very high dispersibility in water and hydrocarbon systems.
- In brine water, formulations based on INC 1477 will deposit an inhibitor film on the downhole tubulars to protect against the corrosive attack of the produced fluids.
- Finished products based on INC 1477 have been successfully used to continuously treat water injection systems in the Permian Basin with mild to moderate corrosion environments.
- INC 1477 may also be used to formulate downhole corrosion inhibitors, however, close attention should be paid to the possible emulsification tendencies, as products of this type may cause unwanted emulsions.
- As noted before, these formulations are very effective cleaners, aiding in solids control, and removal of some adherences which may cause additional corrosion problems related to under-deposit corrosion.
- Suggested treatment dosage is 35 to 60 ppm. of finished product based on the total fluid produced by the system in question.
