INC 4120 is a highly effective water clarifier intermediate based on carbamate chemistry, used in treating oil-in-water emulsions in both offshore and land-based systems. It is amphoteric and can be formulated with cationic or anionic polymers to minimize oil carryover, improve water cleanliness, and, in some cases, eliminate the need for secondary clarifiers.

    Usage Information
    • A typical formulation for a finished product based on INC 1482 would consist of blending 13.75 gallons of product into 10 gallons of IPA, topping off a drum with water.
    • INC 1482 is an oil dispersible filming amine with very high dispersibility in water. In brine water, in the presence of hydrocarbons, formulations based on INC 1482 will deposit a persistent inhibitor film on the metal surfaces to protect against the corrosive attack of the produced fluids. Finished products based on INC 1482 have been successfully used to continuously treat producing oil wells in the Permian Basin with mild to moderate corrosion environments. Suggested treatment dosage is 35 to 60 ppm of finished product based on the total fluid produced by the well in question.
