INC 1482 is a filming amine corrosion inhibitor intermediate whose primary use is for corrosion inhibition in surface water injection system or downhole either sweet or sour environments, where mild to moderate corrosion is expected. INC 1482 is a neutralized ethoxylated imidazoline with very high water dispersibility which has been formulated to minimize the formation of emulsions in produced fluids. INC 1482 is a good choice where a single-ingredient, highly water dispersible formulation is desired.

Usage Information
  • A typical formulation for a finished product based on INC 1482 would consist of blending 13.75 gallons of product into 10 gallons of IPA, topping off a drum with water.
  • INC 1482 is an oil dispersible filming amine with very high dispersibility in water. In brine water, in the presence of hydrocarbons, formulations based on INC 1482 will deposit a persistent inhibitor film on the metal surfaces to protect against the corrosive attack of the produced fluids. Finished products based on INC 1482 have been successfully used to continuously treat producing oil wells in the Permian Basin with mild to moderate corrosion environments. Suggested treatment dosage is 35 to 60 ppm of finished product based on the total fluid produced by the well in question.
