Usage Information
  • INC 1845 may be formulated with water and Glycol Ether EB to give an excellent, fresh water foamer.
  • Typical formulations for fresh water foamers would call for 25 to 35 gallons of INC 1845 per drum, with 4 to 8 gallons of Glycol Ether EB, completing the blend with water.
  • During typical drilling applications of finished blends of INC 1845 Foamer Intermediate, the recommended concentrations range from 0.3 to 2.0 % by volume (2 to 8 gallons of the finished blend per 10 Barrels of fresh water).
  • These volumes are dependent on application methods, hydrocarbon concentration, and downhole conditions.
  • INC 1845 Foamer Intermediate may also be used to formulate production foamers. Typical formulations would call for 8 to 15 gallons of INC 1845 Foamer Intermediate with 2 to 5 gallons of Glycol Ether EB per drum, with the balance being fresh water.
  • These blends are used to unload gas wells by either slugging 5 to 10 gallons down the production string via a wellhead lubricator, shutting the well in to allow the product to fall to the fluid level, and putting the well back on production, or by a continuous treatment down the annular space where possible, at a rate of from 1 quart to 2 gallons per day, based on the downhole conditions and the amount of fluids produced.
