MACKAMIDE® SMV MB is a stearic monoethanolamide made from plant-derived stearic acid, free of animal-derived components. It is designed for use in household and cosmetic formulations as a pearlizing and opacifying agent. When combined with glycol stearate, it produces particularly intense pearls. With its high melting point, MACKAMIDE® SMV MB also functions effectively as a gelling agent and wax additive, making it ideal for products in stick form. Formulation tips
  • Add in the beginning of process with heat stable ingredients
  • Request heating to 95°C to incorporate
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to heating as this may lead to degradation
  • Mix until dissolved before cooling or molding
